Established in 2002 (incorporated in 2003) and based in North-East England, we have been working with private and public sector organisations since inception and have a BIG reputation for top quality service. Most work is won on personal recommendation.

Helen is the owner-director of Helios People Development Ltd. She established the company building on many years’ experience as a senior manager with a national, private training provider where she had responsibility for up to 200 people and multi-million pound contracts.
Alongside this management experience Helen has designed, developed and delivered a wide range of learning interventions. Four years as an academic at Newcastle University focused this aspect of her work giving her different perspectives to ensure rigour in assessment.
Helen's coaching and training style very much focus on practice that can be transferred into the workplace/life, i.e. practical solutions to real difficulties. With this pragmatic approach she provides sound guidance to those preparing assignments.
Experience is underpinned with qualifications which include an MBA. She is a qualified coach, competence-based assessor and IQA and has achieved Chartered status as a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Alan develops and delivers a range of programmes, training and coaching interventions. He is well known and well liked for his interactive and dynamic workshops. Another of Alan's many strengths is his clear and constructive written feedback on assignments.
He has worked with various education and business specialists for over 12 years both nationally and globally. Prior to this, he was an internal consultant within the public sector.
Recent projects include consultancy for the Government’s “World Class Skills” and “Employer Responsiveness” programmes - raising the skills level of UK managers. Alan was also lead consultant in a “Key skills for work” programme supporting and mentoring UK business managers.
Amongst many qualifications, Alan holds a Master's Degree (MBA accredited) and is a qualified Belbin Trainer and Leadership mentor. Alan is also a work-based Assessor and IQA.
